Surrounded by pretty gardens and box hedges, the hotel resides within a former Franciscan monastery, which was the first resting place of the Catholic monarchs King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. Location
Set within the heart of the Alhambra complex, the hotel is well located for exploring both the main Alhambra Palace and the gardens and summer palace of the Generalife. Beyond the Alhambra, it’s an easy 10-minute drive into the heart of town or a 25-minute downhill walk to the cathedral, La Alcaicería (the home of Granada’s former grand bazaar) and the heart of the old Arab district, the Albayzin.
Food and drink
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the hotel’s restaurant, which uses Andalusian cuisine to infuse the Alhambra’s history. The large terrace to the front of the restaurant looks directly across to Generalife.
